The Garages page is your home base for organizing vehicles and gear into shared spaces. A garage can represent a real location (like “Home Garage”), a household, or any grouping you want. Garages also control who can see and edit items inside them.

#How to get here

  • Tap Garages (warehouse icon) in the bottom navigation.
  • If you just signed in and you’re on a consumer plan that uses garages, the app typically opens here by default.

#What you see on this page

#1) Overview card (top of page)

The Overview card summarizes your overall garage activity.

  • Vehicles: Total vehicles across all garages.
  • Gear: Total gear items across all garages.
  • Open tasks: Count of maintenance tasks that still need attention.
  • When expanded, you may also see:
    • Pending transfers: Items waiting to be accepted into your account.
    • Members: Total unique people across your garages.

Tip: Tap the Overview card to expand/collapse and see more totals.

#2) Search (below Overview)

Use Search garages to quickly find a garage.

  • Searches by garage name
  • Also searches by member names/emails when available

Where it is: The search field is directly under the Overview card.
Clear search: Tap the X at the right side of the search field.

Tap the filter icon to narrow down the list.

You can filter by:

  • Role
    • Owner: You created the garage / you’re the captain.
    • Member: You can make changes in the garage.
    • External: A shared/external garage you can access.
    • Any: No role filtering.
  • Status
    • Active
    • Archived
    • Any

When filters are active, you’ll see filter chips under the search row, plus a Clear filters button.

#4) Garage cards (the list)

Each garage appears as a card with quick health indicators:

  • A thin color stripe across the top of the card:
    • Highlights garages with overdue tasks, pending transfers, or other attention.
  • Badges showing:
    • Your role (Captain/Member/Viewer/External)
    • Active or Archived
  • Counts for:
    • Vehicles, Gear, Members
    • If present: Open tasks and Overdue tasks
    • If present: Pending transfers

#Add a new garage

If you have permission to create garages, you’ll see a + button (floating action button).

  1. Tap + Create garage.
  2. Enter a Garage name (required).
  3. (Optional) Expand Address (optional) and fill in details.
    • If you provide any address fields, the app will require the basics (line 1, city, state/province, postal code).

If you don’t see the + button:
