The Documents page is your file cabinet. It helps you store and organize manuals, receipts, photos, registrations, and other files—then link them to garages, vehicles/gear, and tasks.

- Tap Documents (document icon) in the bottom navigation.
- From Asset Details, use the Documents shortcut to jump here.
#What you see on this page
#1) Folder tree (in the app header)
Tap the folder tree icon (looks like a branching tree) in the top app header to open the folder tree.
Use the tree to:
- Jump directly to a folder
- Create folders (when permitted)
- Move documents via drag/drop (desktop/web only)
#Folder actions (on a folder)
When you open a folder’s actions menu, you may see options like:
- Open folder
- Move folder
- Manage tags
- Share Center (consumer accounts only, when allowed)
- Delete folder
#2) Breadcrumbs + current folder contents
Documents are organized into folders. As you navigate:
- Breadcrumbs help you understand where you are.
- The main area shows:
- Subfolders
- Documents in the current folder
#3) Search (within the current view)
Use the search field on the page to filter folders/documents by name.
Clear search by tapping the X.
#4) Add / bulk actions menu (+)
Use the + menu to add items and manage selections. Common actions include:
- Take photo
- Upload document
- New folder
- Select (toggle selection mode)
- Move (bulk move selected documents)
- Delete (bulk delete selected documents)
- Download (download selected or all visible)
#Primary actions (how to use this page)
#Upload a document (PDF/photo/video/etc)
- Tap the + menu
- Choose Upload document (or Take photo)
- Choose the file(s)
- Fill in any requested metadata (title, category, tags, expiration, etc)
- Confirm upload
After upload, you may see a “finishing up” message while the app completes processing in the background.
#Create a folder
- Tap the + menu
- Choose New folder
- Enter a folder name
- Tap Create
#Open a document
- Tap a document in the list
- A Document Details sheet opens
From Document Details you can usually:
- Preview the file
- Download
- Update title/description/tags (if permitted)
- Manage versions (if enabled)
- Link/unlink to tasks and assets (if enabled)
#Start selection mode (bulk actions)
Selection mode lets you move/delete/download multiple documents at once.
- Tap the + menu
- Choose Select
- Tap documents to select them
- Use + menu → Move/Delete/Download
To exit selection mode:
- Tap + menu → Cancel selection, or
- Clear your selections (the page will guide you)
#View full-screen preview
From Document Details, you may be able to open a full-screen viewer for PDFs/images/videos.
#Move documents
To move a single document, use its actions in the list (when available).
To move multiple:
- Tap + menu → Select
- Tap documents to select them
- Tap + menu → Move
- Choose a destination folder
- Confirm
#Delete documents
Deleting is permanent.
Bulk delete:
- Tap + menu → Select
- Select documents
- Tap + menu → Delete
- Confirm
#Download documents
- Tap + menu → Download
- Choose whether to download:
- Selected documents (if selection mode is active), or
- All visible documents in the current view
- Pick a destination folder (when prompted)
- Confirm download
#Sharing (Share Center)
Some folders/documents offer a Share Center option (consumer accounts only).
Share Center lets you:
- Select a target garage in your active subscription
- Optionally share to a specific member
- Share or Stop sharing
You can usually open Share Center from a folder or document actions menu.
#Share Center workflow (step-by-step)
- Open Share Center
- Search/select the target garage
- (Optional) toggle sharing to a specific member and select the person
- Tap Share
To revoke sharing:
- Open Share Center
- Select the same garage/member target
- Tap Stop sharing
#Permissions and availability
Some nodes can be view-only (for example, if you only have viewer access).
When you don’t have permission:
- Upload/move/delete may be disabled
- Sharing may be hidden
#Tips
- Pull down to refresh the explorer.
- If you can’t find a document, clear search and confirm you’re in the right folder.
- Expiration dates are displayed in your local timezone.
