#Tasks (Maintenance Board)
The Tasks page is where you plan and track maintenance work across your garages. It supports multiple views (list / kanban / agenda), powerful filters, and fast task creation.
#How to get here
- Tap Tasks (checklist icon) in the bottom navigation.
#What you see on this page
#1) Search (top of page)
Use Search tasks to find tasks by keywords in the title/summary and related asset identifiers.
- Clear search: tap the X inside the search field.
#2) Filters (next to Search)
Tap the filter icon to open the filters sheet.
Filters commonly include (what’s available can vary by plan/features):
- Garage (all or one garage)
- Asset / gear item
- Assignee (who it’s assigned to)
- Status/lane
- Priority
- Time window (overdue, due today, next 7/30 days, etc)
- Active vs archived
- “My tasks” (only tasks assigned to you)
When filters are active, you’ll see chips under the search bar. You can tap a chip to edit, or remove it to clear that filter.
#3) View mode toggle (top bar)
In the top bar you can switch how tasks are displayed:
- List: grouped list view
- Kanban: compact lanes by status
- Agenda: date-based agenda view
#4) Task list/board content
Tasks are grouped based on the active view:
- In Kanban, tasks appear in columns/lanes by status.
- In Agenda, tasks appear grouped by date (for example Today/Tomorrow/This Week).
- In List, tasks appear in a sortable list with richer metadata.
#5) Floating action button (+)
The + button is your task action hub.
- Tap + to open a menu (Create task, Create recurring task, etc).
- Long-press + to jump straight into Create task (when available).
Some menu items may appear but be unavailable yet (the app will tell you).
#Primary actions (how to use this page)
#Open a task
Tap a task to open Task Details.
#Run an inspection task (agenda view)
Some tasks are inspections. When you tap an inspection task in Agenda view, the app can open an inspection runner instead of the standard task detail page.
See: Inspection Run
#Create a task
- Tap +
- Choose Create Task
- Fill in the task sheet (title, priority, asset/gear, etc)
- Save
Consumer requirement: tasks must be scoped to a garage. If you try to create a task for an unassigned item, the app will prompt you to assign it to a garage first.
See:
#Create a task from a vehicle/gear (fastest)
If you’re already looking at the item:
- Open Vehicles & Gear
- Long-press the item card
- Tap Add task
This opens the same task creation flow, pre-scoped to that item when possible.
#Create a recurring task
- Tap +
- Choose Create Recurring Task
- Set the repeat schedule when prompted
#Change status / reschedule / complete
Depending on the view and your permissions, you may be able to:
- Complete a task
- Reschedule a due date
- Move a task to a different status
If an action isn’t available (for example, you’re a viewer), the app will keep the task read-only.
#Bulk actions (when available)
In some views, you can select multiple tasks and apply a bulk update (status/assignee/archive). If your screen shows selection controls or a selection bar, follow the on-screen prompts to enter selection mode and apply actions.
#Tips
- Pull down to refresh tasks.
- If tasks look “missing,” clear filters first—filters apply across all views.
- Dates and times are shown in your local timezone.
