#Wi‑Fi Provisioning (Device Network Setup)

The Wi‑Fi Provisioning page helps you give a paired MaintenanceFreak device the credentials it needs to join your home/office Wi‑Fi network.

#How to get here

1. Pair with the device in Bluetooth Settings
2. Open Settings
3. Tap Wi‑Fi Provisioning

If you aren’t connected to a device via Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi provisioning may be disabled.

#What you see on this page

This page is typically a two-step workflow:

#Step 1: Connect to device hotspot

• You’ll see the device hotspot name (SSID).
• Tap Join Device Hotspot to connect.

#Step 2: Provide home network credentials

• Select your home/office Wi‑Fi SSID from a dropdown of nearby networks (when available)
• Enter the Wi‑Fi password (if needed)
• Tap the submit action to send credentials to the device

#Status messages

The page shows status updates like:

• Scanning nearby networks
• Joined device hotspot
• Device response after sending credentials

#Refresh networks

Pull down to refresh the list of nearby Wi‑Fi networks.

#Recommended workflow

1. Ensure your device is paired in Bluetooth Settings
2. On Wi‑Fi Provisioning:
   • Tap Join Device Hotspot
3. Choose your home/office Wi‑Fi network
4. Enter the password
5. Submit credentials and wait for a response

#Troubleshooting

• Network list is empty
  • Pull to refresh.
  • Confirm Wi‑Fi permissions are enabled in system settings.
• Unable to join device hotspot
  • Confirm the device is powered on and broadcasting its hotspot.
  • Move closer to the device and retry.
• Provisioning failed
  • Retry Step 1, then resubmit credentials.
  • If the page shows a device response error, contact support with the message.
